Picture Perfect

Cottages of Lake Worth rival those of Key West.  I don’t mean rival via competition but the right.  This lovely blue house has neighbors to the right and left that just makes it a picture perfect post card.   When I photograph, I occasionally meet a neighbor who is watching, as happend today.  She told me how much the neighborhood has changed for the better thanks to the PBSO and SOSA in less than 18 months.I was unable to get the 3 houses in a row as there was a car in one of the drives and the light wasn’t perfect but someday soon I will get the perfect photo to share.  I appreciate the readership of this blog, which always spikes when I post Lake Worth cottages. There comes a time when all that is meant to be, converges.  How many times have I passed this particular cottage in the last six months.  It’s nice, but this day, this vehicle was there and it was a marriage made in heaven..

OMG Volunteers

This is amazing,  I knew about all the work happening in Lake Worth via the CRA and its’s  NSP2 program.  What I did not know was where the  volunteers came from.  Thirteen young  women and nine young men, all still in high school were busy on this job site today.   This project is in the south-west quadrant of Lake Worth.   They hail from Boston and are staying at the Y.  They are using their school break doing good.  They arrived here on Thursday and will depart on Thursday.  I am disillusioned that they cannot stay and enjoy Lake Worth’s street painting festival this weekend.  They deserve a great big thank you.  Wow!  THANK YOU

Evening on the Ave. + go to

Last evening was just delightful.  Took my own advice and headed to the Cultural Plaza.   The Music was a surprise and delight.  I didn’t feel like I was being blasted away.  Not sure of the 5 pc. bands name but their efforts were appreciated when you look closely at the faces of the audience.  Enough said .Do women ever pass up bling?   If you want to see some real sparkly things GO TO the Palm Beach Convention Center for the Art and Antique Show.   The Bruce Kodner Gallery and Artlink International both of Lake Worth had wonderful things on display there.  Half the show appeared to be dedicated to those sparkly things with lots and lots of carats.  If you appreciate fine art.  On view two VanGogh’s one was unsigned, 3 Marie Cassatt’s and one Singer Sargent, two very small Renoir’s.  If marine art is to your taste at least six good size Montague Dawson’s are on display.  He is the formost marine painter, if your not familiar with him this is the show to go see his works of art, brilliant. The above image I pulled from the internet and guess what, it is in the show.   Well worth the trip and I so enjoyed walking on the carpeting, thanks for the champagne.
